Students are also required to successfully complete six written assessment papers on these key teachings, one after each workshop.

Student healers will be taught, guided and supervised throughout their study period, and at the end of the course there will be four practical assessment healing sessions, undertaken with four different clients who shall be selected by the Academy's training and assessment officers.

There will also be an end-of-course verbal assessment of each student's knowledge and understanding.

Attaining Diploma Standard in Spiritual Healing:
The Academy's training programme for Spiritual Healer Development meets the rigorous standards set out by UK Healers, which is the United Kingdom's policy-making and self-regulatory body for spiritual healers; it also includes professional indemnity insurance for our practitioners, and it adheres to the extensive training requirements and legal standards required by government guidelines, and by The Alliance of Healing Associations.

Diploma Entry Qualifications:
Certain conditions must be in place before you can begin your healing studies at the Academy: all applicants must be over the age of eighteen, and must show an enthusiasm and dedication to spiritual healing, possess suitable personal qualities, and show a willingness to study and learn;
Three Steps to Attain the Professional Diploma in Healing:
Successful candidates will then be awarded the professional Diploma in Spiritual Healing: Dip H (APSS) - an achievement which acknowledges the practitioner's competence to practice the art and science of spiritual healing to high standards.
Good Practice, and Code of Ethics:
In addition to conforming to legal guidelines and to the UK Healers Code of Conduct, the Spiritual Healers at the Academy also adhere to two other stringent Codes of Ethics and Good Practice: the Academy's Code, and the Alliance of Healing Associations' Code of Ethics.

1. As a foundation step towards professional therapist status and to demonstrate their commitment to ongoing ethical and professional standards of conduct and personal development, applicants are first required to obtain The Academy of Psychic and Spiritual Studies' Certificate of Merit in Self-Awareness and Personal Development (APSS [SA]). 2. After attaining the APSS (SA) Certificate, suitable candidates wishing to obtain the professional Diploma in Spiritual Healing are accepted for training as soon as they enrol on the second stage of our comprehensive development programme, which is The Academy of Psychic and Spiritual Studies Certificate of Merit in Psychic, Mediumistic and Healing Development: PMHD (APSS), which provides a thorough grounding in all practical and theoretical matters relating to psychic, mediumistic and spiritual healing attunement, and to attaining professional therapist status. 3. In tandem with your PMHD Certificate studies, your Spiritual Healing Diploma training can commence, and it will last for 100 sessions spread over a 24-month training period, which conforms to the high standards and professional guidelines set out by UK Healers, and legal guidelines set out by the government.
Fees for the Diploma:
Current fees are £4 for each healing or training session attended (a minimum of 100 sessions are required over the two-year training period); plus your six workshop fees (£25 per workshop, as detailed below) - and at the beginning of each year there is a registration fee of £30 - your professional indemnity insurance is covered by us. If preferred, you can make payments on a weekly basis.

Experiential Practice in Spiritual Healing:
During the Diploma Course, student healers will receive professional supervision, tuition and guidance while gaining immediate hands-on experience, and will be given weekly supervised opportunities to practise their skills and abilities with fellow students, and also with clients who attend the Academy's two weekly Spiritual Healing Clinics (on Mondays).
Written Work and Assessments:
Assessment and Training will be ongoing, and in addition there will be six educational workshops (three per year) held during the two-year training and development period, each workshop lasting for 4 hours, in which the key aspects of the Unfoldment, Understanding and Practice of Spiritual Healing will be taught. Attendance at these workshops is mandatory (not an optional commitment), and specific training and a personal assessment is given to each student.The syllabus will include:
1: Attunement; Codes of Ethics and Legalities; Contact and
Absent Healing.
2: 'Safe' Counselling Skills; Healing Psychodynamics; Establishing an
Effective Client/Healer Therapeutic Relationship.
3: Understanding Supervision, Common Ailments, Record-Keeping, and
Deepening your Attunement Skills.
4: Basic Physiology and Anatomy; Holistic Health and Nutrition.
5: Encouraging the Healing Process; Belief, Faith, and The Placebo
Effect.
6: Reassessing Legalities, Good Practice and Ethical Standards;
Preparation for Professional Healer Registration.
