Professional Training in Mediumship Development:
Diploma in Mediumship: Dip M (APSS) .
Successful students will be entitled to use the Academy Accreditation Dip M (APSS) after their names
Attaining Professional Standards in Mediumship:
The Academy's training programme for Mental Mediumship Development (message-relaying via mental communication processes) meets the rigorous standards set out by the Academy's Code of Ethics and Good Conduct, and it benefits from the three decades (plus) of teaching experience of its tutor, Stephen O'Brien.
Diploma Entry Qualifications:
Certain conditions must be in place before you can begin your mediumship development: all applicants must be over the age of eighteen, and must show an enthusiasm for mediumship, possess suitable personal qualities, and be willing to study and learn.
Three Steps to Attain the Professional Mediumship Diploma:
Successful candidates who can demonstrate their abilities to acceptable standards will be awarded the professional Diploma in Mediumship: Dip M (APSS) - an achievement which acknowledges the practitioner's competence to practice the art and science of mental mediumship to high standards.
Fees for the Diploma:
Current fees are £4 for each experiential training session attended (a minimum of 100 sessions are required over the two-year training period); plus your six workshop fees (£25 per workshop, as detailed below) - and at the beginning of each year there is a registration fee of £30. If preferred, you can make payments on a weekly basis.
(all fees are subject to periodic revision.)
Written Work and Assessments:
Assessment and Training will be ongoing, and in addition there will be six educational workshops (three per year) held during the two-year training and development period, each workshop lasting for 4 hours, in which the key aspects of the Unfoldment, Understanding and Practice of Mediumship will be taught. Attendance at these workshops is mandatory (not an optional commitment), and specific training and a personal assessment is given to each student.
1. As a foundation step towards professional mediumship standards, and to demonstrate their commitment to ongoing ethical and professional standards of conduct and personal development, applicants are required to first obtain The Academy of Psychic and Spiritual Studies' Certificate of Merit in Self-Awareness and Personal Development: APSS (SA). (80 hours tuition over 6 months). Click the accredited courses hyperlink on the left of your screen to view this foundation training-programme.
2. After attaining the APSS (SA) Certificate, suitable candidates wishing to obtain the Diploma in Mediumship are accepted for training as soon as they enrol on the second stage of the comprehensive development programme, which is The Academy of Psychic and Spiritual Studies Certificate of Merit in Psychic, Mediumistic and Healing Development: PMHD (APSS), which provides a thorough grounding in all practical and theoretical matters relating to psychic, mediumistic and spiritual healing attunement, and to professional medium and therapist status. (80 hours tuition over 6 months). Click the accredited courses hyperlink on the left of your screen to view this training-programme.
3. In tandem with your PMHD Certificate studies, your Diploma in Mediumship training lasts for 100 sessions spread over a 24-month training period, during which candidates must practise and demonstrate their skills at the Academy's Monday evening Open Circle of Clairvoyance (plus other events), and the tutor will assess their work and offer ongoing tuition. Six mandatory workshops must also be attended in the two-year period (these commitments are not optional), plus supervised 'placement' practice is undertaken to obtain specific experience, tuition and more targeted guidance and training. The Diploma is awarded when candidates have attained a reliable and professional standard of mental mediumship.
