Levels of Teaching:
At certain times in our courses, students are placed into separate teaching-groups, and each set of students is helped by an experienced tutor (or tutors) who will guide and supervise their experiential work, with instruction delivered to meet your needs. Upon arrival you will be required to complete an enrolment/assessment questionnaire and you will be placed into a group to meet as many of your training requirements as possible.
BEGINNERS / NEWCOMERS to the Subject:
This group is made up of people who are new to the subject and who might have little or no experience in the field of study.
INTERMEDIATES / ADVANCED PRACTITIONERS:
These two separate groups are made up of people with more, or significantly more, experience in the subject.
Three-Hour Course Format:
Two hours and 45 minutes of teaching and/or experiential groupwork, with a 15-minute refreshment break in the middle of the course. Teas, coffees and biscuits etc are provided.
Weekend Course Format: (slight alterations might apply)
SATURDAY, 10am - 10pm:
9.30am: Registration and Enrolment.
Please arrive in plenty of time to complete your forms and to settle any payments etc. We cannot wait for latecomers and we always advise that if you are travelling from a distance please allow extra time to negotiate motorway traffic, and to find a suitable parking space near The Academy.
10am: Teaching commences, and continues throughout the day, with refreshment breaks such as:
Teabreak: 11.15am
Lunch: 12.30pm - 2pm
Teabreak: 3.15pm
Evening meal: 5pm - 7.30pm
[7.30pm - 9pm: An Evening Public Demonstration or Psychic Event]
Socialising: 9pm -10pm
Academy then closes for the day.
SUNDAY, 10am - 4pm:
10am: Teaching commences, and continues throughout the day, with refreshment breaks such as:
Teabreak: 11.15am
Lunch: 12.30pm - 2pm
Teabreak: 3.15pm
Course ends at 4pm
Academy closes at 4.30pm
Students' are responsible for arranging their own meals and accommodation: there are several cafés, restaurants and shops directly outside our premises; and there are many B&B establishments and hotels very close to us. (All of our courses are attendance-based and they are taught in Swansea, South Wales, UK. At present we do not conduct correspondence or distance-learning courses.
