Teachings from the published works of Britain’s bestselling spiritual author, Stephen O’Brien
When we pass over into the eternal world of the spirit, we shall gravitate to the sphere of existence that we have earned for ourselves through the building of our characters and the evolution and expression of our spiritual qualities.
All that we shall take with us through the gateway called ‘death’ is ourselves - nothing more, nothing less. There are no pockets in shrouds, no status symbols or earthly aggrandisement on the Other Side of Life. We shall simply take our minds and characters. You will take with you your state of soul-growth and your moral attitudes, which are all facets of your true inner-self.
Over There you will clearly see that the only things that really mattered were:
• How you had lived your life.
• How you had thought.
• How you had acted.
Man is personally responsible for his actions and thoughts. There can be no off-loading of his acts onto another’s shoulders; that would be morally and spiritually wrong, and it cannot happen. The Universal Laws do not allow us to transfer our spiritual burdens in such a haphazard way.
We alone work must out our own progression.
This Earth-world makes much of pomp and ceremony and it treasures public acclaim as a mark of importance. But in the Greater Spiritual World which we will all one day inherit, what a man has called himself will be of little account. It is what he really is, what he has done with his life that will matter. These spiritual qualities are the only eternal treasures that he can possess.
